The AI copilot and placeholders
What the AI does and does not do, how generations are counted, and how placeholders keep drafts honest.
Last updated 15 October 2026
The AI copilot is a writing assistant inside the quotation editor. It drafts and improves narrative sections and suggests line items. It does not compute totals and does not invent facts.
What it can do
- Draft a section (scope, assumptions, exclusions, schedule, terms) from your requirement and the current document.
- Rewrite a section to be clearer or shorter.
- Suggest line items by description, unit and typical quantity; you add prices.
- Summarise a long requirement into deliverables.
- Propose a title.
What it will not do
- Calculate or change any price, quantity, tax or total.
- Invent certifications, past clients, projects, brands, dates or prices. Unknown specifics become [placeholders].
- Send anything. You review and apply each suggestion.
Generations and limits
One request is one generation. Each plan includes a monthly allowance; the Founders' Offer includes 30 generations over its 90 days. The remaining count is shown in the copilot panel and on the usage page. Requests that fail do not count. There are also daily and concurrency limits to keep the service fair.
Placeholders
Bracketed text marks something you must confirm. Click a placeholder to replace it, or delete it. The copilot panel lists every remaining placeholder under “Review before sending” so you can work through them before you share the document.
Privacy
Your requirement and the current document text are sent to the AI provider to produce the draft. They are not used by us to train models. See the privacy policy.
