Working with templates

Industry starter templates, saving your own, and how templates interact with the AI copilot.

Last updated 15 October 2026

A template is a quotation skeleton: sections with starter text, sample line items, payment milestones and a default validity. Proposora ships twelve industry templates, and you can duplicate any quotation to reuse it.

Industry templates

Electrical contractor, rooftop solar, HVAC, steel fabrication, engineering consultancy, civil construction, architecture, software development, digital marketing retainer, consulting engagement, freelance project and industrial maintenance contract. Each is written for how that trade quotes in India. See the templates page for previews.

Placeholders

Facts a template cannot know are written in square brackets: [brand], [25-year], [city], [₹8,000]. The editor highlights each one, and the AI copilot lists unresolved placeholders under “Review before sending”.

Reusing your own

  1. Open a quotation that reads the way you want.
  2. Choose Duplicate from the actions menu.
  3. A new draft is created with a fresh number; update the customer, dates and figures before sending.

Saving named custom templates is on the roadmap; duplicating covers the same need today.

Templates and the AI

When the AI copilot drafts a section, it uses the current template's structure and tone as its skeleton, so a consulting proposal reads differently from an electrical quotation.
